Springflo Filter Media is a unique and highly versatile filter media made from a composite of polypropylene and calcium carbonate formed into a thin, embossed ribbon. In practice, Springflo is virtually uncloggable. Water can easily flow through the ribbon construction, minimizing the formation of "dead spots."
Ultra Bio-Media is a sinking media with a very high bio-film surface that is 3 to 5 times greater than other plastic media, such as bio-balls, various mats and foams, beads, ribbon and brush type media, etc. Superior bacterial adhesion and colonization is achieved due to the surface texture and grade of plastic used. Additionally, beneficial bacteria is able to build up into a bacterial matrix due to the excellent interstitial spacing within the media.
Filter brushes are made from the very highest quality polypropylene twisted into two stainless steel wires to form a cylindrical brush with a loop at one end for hanging. The other end is capped with a plastic knob for safety. They last indefinitely and are the easiest to use, most efficient and most cost-effective pond filter medium you can buy.
